Questions to Ask a Psychic Medium (and the Ones to Skip)
Most people who type "questions to ask a psychic medium" into Google are worried they'll waste the reading. They've heard horror stories about people asking the wrong thing and getting nothing useful back, or about psychics who give vague answers that could mean anything. So they freeze, ask the most basic question they can think of, and leave feeling like the whole session was a wash.
Here is the truth nobody tells you about psychic readings. The question you ask shapes the answer you get. Not because I'm performing or guessing, but because the energy I'm reading lights up around what you actually care about. Vague question, vague answer. Real question, real answer.
Below are the questions that actually work in a reading, broken down by category, and the ones to skip and what to ask instead.
For decisions you're sitting with
What's the energy around this decision?
What am I not seeing about this situation?
What's the cost of staying where I am?
What have I been avoiding looking at?
What's underneath this restlessness?
The pattern here is openness. You're not asking me to decide for you. You're asking what's actually in the field so you can decide better.
For relationships and love
This is the most-searched category for psychic readings, and also where the worst questions get asked. Phrasing matters a lot here.
What patterns am I repeating in love?
What's the energy between me and this person right now?
What do I need to understand about this relationship?
What does my next aligned partnership feel like?
What am I afraid to admit about this relationship?
These questions assume you have agency. They invite information instead of demanding prediction.
For career and direction
Midlife pivots and "what am I supposed to be doing" questions come up constantly in my practice. Phrase them like this.
What's the energy around my current work?
What is my next step trying to show me?
What am I avoiding that wants my attention?
What's the cost of staying in this role?
What does aligned work feel like in my body?

For yourself
These are the questions to ask a psychic medium that turn a single reading into a long-term shift. They're also some of my favorites to work with.
What am I ready to release?
What part of me is asking to come forward right now?
What's my body trying to tell me?
What's underneath the pattern I keep getting stuck in?
What do I keep dismissing that's actually true?
For your loved ones who have passed
These are mediumship questions. The phrasing is gentler because spirit communication has its own rhythm. You're inviting connection rather than demanding it.
Is this person around me, and what do they want me to know?
What message do they have for me?
How are they showing up for me now?
What do they want me to release on their behalf?
What didn't I get to ask them when they were here?
You don't need photos or objects. Holding the person in your mind is enough.
Questions to skip (and what to ask instead)
Some questions waste your session. They lock the energy into yes/no answers, or they assume I'm here to predict the future, which is not what real psychic work does.
Skip: "Will I get back with my ex?" Try: "What patterns am I being asked to break with this person?"
Skip: "Is my partner cheating?" Try: "What's the energy I'm picking up in this relationship?"
Skip: "When will I meet someone?" Try: "What am I being asked to clear before my next partnership?"
Skip: "Should I take this job?" Try: "What's the energy around this opportunity and what is it asking of me?"
Skip: "Will I be rich?" Try: "What's the energy around money in my life right now?"
Skip: "When will I die?" Try: just don't.
The pattern across every category of questions to ask a psychic medium is the same. Skip questions that hand me your power. Ask questions that keep your agency intact.
When one question opens more than one session can hold
Sometimes the question you bring is too big for a single reading. You ask "what am I being asked to release" and what comes through is a five-year arc that needs steady support, not a one-time hit.
That's when ongoing 1:1 work helps. We set the bigger question as a goal and meet across multiple sessions to work toward it. Sessions can include readings, intuitive guidance, meditation, or healing, depending on what the work calls for. You can read more on my psychic mediumship page.
Ready to book
If you have a question that's been circling and you want a real answer to it, book a reading here, or email me at natalieisyourpsychic@gmail.com if you want to talk through which question is yours before booking.
You are allowed to ask the thing you have been avoiding. That is often where the actual reading begins.
